*What is a Blog and why should every teacher have one?

Blog is a website which allows bloggers, the people who create and own the blog, to write and share whatever they want to, for example personal experiences, comments or feelings. They are also free to post pictures and videos. Blogs are not just for individual self-expression; they are a wonderful platform for people to communicate and interact. Blogger.com and WordPress.com are the most popular bog creation sites.

Nowadays, every teacher is encouraged to have one. Teachers can share their own experiences while students are usually interested in. More than that, teachers can use blogs to encourage students to think deeply about issues. Students’ points of views and thoughts can be shown by their comments.  Both teachers and students are able to know and understand each other better through blogs.

*What is Web 2.0 and why should teachers know about it?

Web 2.0 is a web where online tools are provided, such as blogs, wikis, photo and videos. People are able to read, write, and collaborating things. It is a platform where people both publish and get things from there. You may learn and know about about Web 2.0 by looking at Web 2.0 Conference.

Teachers should know about it because those online tools greatly help students to learn. Learning will be always more effectively if students have opportunity to learn in multiple ways, while Web 2.0 can do it.
